IREC Avionics designs the electrical systems onboard the rocket. Our mission is to build hardware that ensures real-time telemetry transmission, reliable parachute deployments, and critical data logging.
Our avionics bay is completely student researched and developed. Students get valuable hands-on experience working with Altium Designer, the industry standard of PCB design. Members get the chance to work on analog, digital, and RF electronics.
Once hardware design is complete, students see their work come to life during the assembly and testing phase. IREC Avionics works with advanced equipment, such as reflow ovens, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
